Hey !
I'm Aurélia, 21, from France and I'm taking the year off to take on the world !
I'm about to leave for my first big travel on the first of march to Montréal and then I will go to the United States. This is huge for me because I've never travelled oustide of the schengen space and I've never travelled alone ! But I strive to get out of my confort zone and learn as much as I can, about the cultures, the way people really live outside of touristy areas, the huge natural parks and how wild animals live there. I can't express how excited and nervous I am to go on this trip but perhaps I'll tell you in person !

I'm really interested in ecological construction, production of energy, carpentry and gardening. I would love to build my own house one day and workaway is a great opportunity for to learn with passionned people.
I also love art, mainly graphic, I paint and draw a bit when I get the time and inspiration. It really is important to me as it allows to get emotions out in a way that wouldn't be possible in words. I like making bold, colorful projects that convey an emotion or a feeling.
I quite enjoy cooking too ! I'm vegan so I only cook vegan but I love cooking for other people and I think it might the one thing I can pride myself on.

I feel like I should state what I can do, so you'll have an idea what to expect if you decide to welcome me into your home : I'm quite strong, and not afraid of physical work, nor of getting dirty. I've worked in a hotel as a cleaner last summer, I've learned to clean places quickly and efficiently. I can take care of cats and dogs as I've lived with some my whole life. I have a driving licence that is valid in both Canada and the US. My friends describe me as easy-going and I think I'm quite easily satisfied with accomodation.

More details about my language interests
I speak french and I'm pretty much fluent in english altough I would love to get better with oral expression. My spanish is a bit rusty but I'm still generally able to get understood and to understand. I have some notions of portuguese. The langage I'm most interested in learning is German because I would like to spend a year in Berlin in the future.

I have studied many litterary subjects for two years in prépa (geography, history, literature, english, spanish, philosophy), before choosing to pursue philosophy to get my diploma (licence). Thus I can help with those school subjects up until high school.
I am no stranger to physical work as I've grown up in the countryside and have always help my parents cut and store wood, maintain the garden or just move around heavy things in general.
