Description
Hi ! I’m Antoinette, 25 years old, and I come from Belgium. The last past 2 years I worked in an NGO (protection of children and women's rights, enhancing youth's civic commitment) but I need a break and I am leaving work in September. Indeed, I was beginning to feel a bit too steady at work, too much on a computer, and I want to work and help for a little while in dynamic environments, outside, while moving a lot and using my body before I decide what to do next, where to work next.
I studied roman languages and philosophy, I love music, History, sports, animals, children and would like to find a place that would feel like home for a while.
I speak French fluently since it is my mother's tongue, and English and Dutch as well because I studied in both of these languages.
I love animals, especially dogs and horses (I ride since I am 9 years old). I am also great with kids. Indeed, the thing I love most about my current job is when I get to work with the children (at school) on our annual projects). Plus, I have organised summer camps for many years during several weeks. Also, I love meeting new people, listening to and playing music, reading books, cooking, and outdoors (sceneries, wildlife, trekking, etc.).
About myself, I could say I am an enthousiastic person who craves to learn new things. I am also proactive and I am not afraid of taking initiatives. I love social contact, but even if I like chatting a lot, I find silence also enjoyable, and sometimes a break and some alone time is very welcome. I can adapt quite quickly to a situation or a person.
I am very eager to discover the culture and whereabouts of the place I am staying at, and I love riding bikes ! I have been on a few biketrips these past two years and I simply LOVED it ! I would be delighted to talk about bikepacking with people interested in this kind of travel mode.
My parents are renovating a house in France all by themselves since 3 years and I have helped them a lot (roof, digging galleries, painting, sawing, sanding, building furniture, etc.).
We've also had a lot of animals at our home in Belgium (horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, hens, goats, ...) every child in the family had to take care of them in turns, so I am very comfortable with tasks related to animals.
I hope that with all this I might be of use to a family or a project 😊Interests

More details about your skills
I find my way very comfortably around children and animals.
My parents are renovating a house in France all by themselves since 3 years and I have helped them a lot (roof, digging galleries, painting, sawing, sanding, building furniture, etc.). I love doing a lot of different tasks. Other than that, I can and like to cook. I also know my way around some carpentry and garden tools and tasks.
I love sports as well and know a thing or two about bikes.
But most importantly, I LOVE learning new skills and I think I can say I am a fast learner, especially when I am interested in the task given.Age

What else ...
I love music and singing and I play a little bit guitar myself. I also really enjoy discovering the culture of a place and long walks. I love cooking as well.
