It motivates us when we get the chance to work with kind people and are presented with the opportunity to explore new cultures. Generally speaking we would consider ourselves adventurous people, who plan to see as much of New Zealand as possible and discover the diversity of the country, its inhabitants and its unique ecosystem. Both of us have previously worked with children as certified volunteers in our hometown. Additionally we are very big animal lovers, which is mainly accompanied by Lara’s extensive work history on horse farms.

We are very keen on furthering our knowledge in the field of linguistics in order to explore foreign cultrures and connect with people from other parts of the world. Consequently, we are both willing to teach others about our mother tongue (german)/our native traditions as well as being educated on these topics from a different perspective.

We have the highest German school-leaving qualification, having studied both French (for a few years) and English (for its entirety). Consequently we would love to realize the chance to teach someone else our native language, German. The both of us love cooking, as well as music and singing, whereas Annika can additionally play the guitar. Through my (Annika) work as a counsellor at a holiday camp for children and Teenagers, I learned how to fetch wood, make fires and plan bigger activities, among other things. On the other hand I (Lara) am very interested in animals, and have spent most of my youth training and working on a horse farm. It is also worth mentioning that we both own a drivers license.
