Description
Hello everyone! :-)
My name is Annika, I am 26 years old and from Germany. I just graduated from university (bachelor's degree in sociology and English language) and started traveling Japan with a working holiday visa.
~ I am always looking forward to meet new people. Please feel free to contact me if you like to meet up! ~
I want to get fluent in Japanese and experience this fascinating culture. I would like to stay with different hosts to see several places of the country and have the opportunity to do different kinds of work.
Previously, I have worked as a waitress, as a professional cleaner and as an assistant at the international office at my university (in English).
I see this as an adventure I will only do once in my lifetime. Meeting interesting people, making good memories and learning a lot is my goal.
Some key words that describe me:
- patient and attentive
- careful and thorough at work
- fast learner
- outgoing and talkactive but in a calm way
I did an online semester abroad at Akita International University in 2021 and wrote an articel about it: https://web.aiu.ac.jp/en/voice/23553/

More details about your skills
Cooking:
I am a decent cook and love to prepare dishes from all around the world (I prefer vegetarian/vegan cooking but I also eat animal products). Here is my Instagram for food I cooked: https://www.instagram.com/okonomiyakob/ (Although I have not posted anything recently).
Cleaning/Chores:
I worked as a professional cleaner for two years to earn some money for my studies, so I can clean, do laundry or whatever work you want me to do in the house.
English/Intercultural Communication:
I also worked for the International Office at my University and helped incoming students to get settled in Passau. Speaking English and interacting with international people is something I enjoy very much. I speak several languages and are always interested in learning new ones. If you like, I can teach you German.
Guest service:
I also worked as a waitress from time to time. Serving in a café or restaurant and taking care of the guests' needs belongs to my skill set.
Taekwondo:
I have been practicing combat sports (mainly Taekwondo) for a long time and can teach self-defense. I am a sportive person.
Sustainable lifestyle:
I am interested in how to make life on this planet better in many ways. People who make an effort for sustainability are an inspiration to me. I like nature, animals and working outside but I am not experienced in that field. It would be a pleasure to learn about gardening and farmwork!
Most of all, I am a fast learner - whatever help is required: show me how to do it and I will give my best!Age

Feedback
She taught me so much about happiness.
I'm not very good at English, but she spoke in a way that was easy to understand, and the words she chose were always kind and uplifting.
She taught me how to cook German food and even made a guestbook for my home!
I'm so glad I had the chance to spend time with her.
