Hey there! My name is Anna and I am lucky to call Aotearoa (New Zealand) my home.
I have always been one to seek adventure, and love anything in the outdoors- especially snowboarding, scuba diving, and hiking. If I'm not outdoors you might find me playing with animals, playing guitar, reading, writing, or cooking delicious plant based food. Over the last year I have also begun to embrace meditation and yoga into my life, prioritizing mindfulness and wellbeing. I also love my camera and creating a story through photography- something I want to lean into more during my travels
This year has been a wonderful year spent traveling-
I am excited to be immersed in new cultures; to learn, to speak, to listen, and to continually grow. While traveling I am looking for experiences that allow me to gain practical skills and knowledge, while also giving back meaningfully.
I hope to learn skills oriented around permaculture, self sufficiency, and sustainability. I have been loving getting involved in experiences that allow me to gain more skills and knowledge around carpentry, and would like to continue with this.
My intentions for this time is to always keep an open mind, to never lose perspective, and to fully embrace whatever comes my way.
To me traveling is constant growth and learning- it is an opportunity to get involved with community, to contribute, and to constantly absorb the teachings of the land and its people. It's about pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, while also looking after my wellbeing. It is about embracing the extent of what life has to offer us while we have the means to do so.

I've had a vast array of work experience through different professions that has allowed me to gain and build on a diverse set of skills. These varying environments and spaces have allowed me to connect with all ages and backgrounds. While each of these jobs has been quite different (for example- Food and beverage attendant, Travel agent, Hiking Guide, Aviation Security) they have all provided challenges and an opportunity for growth in fundamental and transferable life skills listed below.

Beyond professional workspaces I am experienced in photography, and am confident with the use of Adobe lightroom, photoshop, and Premier pro (video editing). I have facilitated photoshoots for women in body empowerment as well as maternity. I am a skilled writer, and enjoy evoking emotions and imagery through the power of my words. I also love painting and consider myself good at art- If there was an opportunity to paint a mural I would be very interested.
I have basic knowledge and am confident with power tools, and can step up to the challenge when something requires refurbishment and maintenance.
I have experience on organic farms, and am confident in getting involved in the day to day activities required. Seeding, transplanting, preparing soil beds, irrigation/ watering, spraying, general maintenance, fermentation, and preparing produce for market sale.
I'm confident in drink preparation, whether that's making coffees or cocktails, and I know my way around a kitchen.

-Anna has been staying one month with us and it has been absolutely amazing. She is very friendly, helpful, reliable, proactive and just overall a wonderful person. She has been a great help and is always keen to support us wherever something was needed. She is very compassionate learning everything about gardening or constructing. It was fun spending the free time together and sharing thoughts and laughter together. We would always have Anna again as a volunteer. Thank you Anna we will remember you with love and we found a new friend in you!
