Hej fellow travellers and dear hosts,
My name is Anna-Lena, I’m 29 and from Germany.
My current mission is to learn from the great school of life, learning from experiences, learning by trial and error and learning from the people I get to know along this crazy ride.
Ever since I did my first visits to the northern part of this world (Iceland years ago and Norway 2023 in autumn) I fell in love with nature, the animals and its outdoor enthusiastic people.
So I packed my life in my self-converted Volkswagen transporter pretty much one year ago now and headed off north, not really knowing what is awaiting me here, but feeling that strong pull.
By travelling through Sweden I discovered so much beauty and by many coincidences landed in the ecovillage and community of Ängsbacka in Molkom, where I lived ever since then, learning so much about myself, my values, how I picture living my life, what has importance for me and what hasn’t, forming deep connections within the community and without to the land.

Experiences and expertise:
- A long winter of housekeeping in the community
- Also collecting some experiences in the community kitchen and developing my passion for healthy food, cooking and baking even more
- Served in a little café back home during my student life
- Learned a lot of carpentry skills from my dad as a former carpenter and when converting my own Van
- Contributing to building projects in the community while working in the site team, such as constructing beds, platforms, a deck etc
- Working in leading roles of the safety and emotional support team during summer festival season here at the center, deepening my skills in communication, conflict resolution, mediation and how to take care of a team consisting of 15 members
- Growing up on my families farm back home watching and learning bout agriculture, forestry, my mums vegetable and fruit garden, how to take care of the animals and life in harmony and synergy with the nature surrounding us
- Big passion for movement and especially yoga with a 200h teacher training ’22, wouldn’t call myself a teacher though :D

What I’m looking for:
- Spending another autumn and winter in the north
- Diving deep into my books and cozying up
- Working or being surrounded with animals, especially dogs
- Going for walks and hikes in nature, ice skating, (cross country) skiing, ice fishing, winter camping, capturing the northern lights and every other beauty I see with my camera
- Doing physical work that brings me out of my mind and into my body and the present moment
- Creating deep connections
