Hello, my name is Ann Yang and I was born and raised in Taiwan.
I moved to Birmingham, UK to study Sound Engineering 5 years ago. I'm currently facing a career crossroads and decided to take some time off to explore and see the world!
I love travelling and learning about new cultures. I am a fast learner and tend to strive for perfection in everything I have the chance to work on. I always do my best and find happiness in making meaningful contributions.
I would really appreciate an opportunity to open my eyes to different lifestyles and gain new experiences.
I enjoy cooking and take pride in keeping things organised and tidy. I am looking to be more active and in touch with the outdoors. My current hobbies include bouldering (with a keen interest in trying rock climbing), playing the guitar and singing, and improving my driving skills.

I have a diverse skill set developed through a range of experiences. Through working in the service industry, I developed strong people skills and attention to detail while working in fast-paced environments.
I have also taught English as a second language, and my subject area at university, which strengthened my communication and organisational abilities.
Professionally, I’m a software developer with expertise in sound engineering, and I’m more than happy to assist with technology and computer-related tasks.
In a previous Workaway experience, I stayed on a farm and helped with various tasks such as tending to sheep, gardening, and general housekeeping.
I enjoy cooking, baking, and keeping spaces organised and tidy. I try to live an active lifestyle and am physically fit to perform manual labour, making me adaptable to a wide range of tasks.
