Hello,
my name is Amelie. I am 20 years old and I was born in Germany. In 2023 I graduated from highschool and decided to take a year off to travel, work and do internships.
Ever since I was little, I was fascinated by the world. When I was 15 years old, i did an exchange year in Australia and spent 12 months on the beautiful sunshine coast, lived in a host family and went to school.
During this time I fully understood for the first time, just how many different cultures there are. I loved seeing different percpectives of the world and experiencing all these ways of living life. I also became friends with people from central and south america and I always felt like they had something joyfull, open hearted and friendly about them, which is why I want to explore the place that formed them into becoming such great people.
I am determined to explore the world. I am courius to learn about things. And consequently, i want to learn more about myself.Interests

I am curious, interested and love to learn new things. I love to get in touch with new people and am particularly excited about the intersocial aspect of this workaway experience.
I enjoy creative activities like interior design, painting and collecting ideas and am really interested in arts and culture. I often redesigned my own room and helped family and friends with realizing their ideas of home decor.
I also have basic skills in sewing and photography.
Throughout one month of working in a restaurant in France last year, I learned a little bit about designing flyers, and doing reels for advertisment.
In my two internships in two different joineries, I learned basics about working with wood: I built a stool, a clock and also used the funier technique to build a backgammon game. All though I do not have much more experience in the craft sector, I am really interested in learning and working in this area. I enjoy to watch the development of something being built.
Due to my small part-time jobs as babysitter and tutor I have some experience with children and teaching.
I am also very excited about trying out new things. I would say that due to my curiosity I pick up on things quite quickly. So if there is anything else you need help with, I would be more than happy to learn about it.Age

I asked to come last minute and they made it possible and were super flexible.
They always made sure that everyone was feeling well and was having they’re own private space.
