Description
Bonjour! I'm Alize, I'm french and grew up both in Europe and in the Middle East. I have decided to put my life as a scientist on pause to take some time to do what I love doing the most: learning about different cultures, traditions and peoples! I have moved countries my whole life, so I can adapt to new environments quickly and have always enjoyed volunteering and helping out where I could.
I also worked in hospitality for a few years so I enjoy socialising and as a plus I can make you cocktails!
I like learning new languages (I'm bilingual in French and English, currently getting my TEFL certification, I've got the basics down in Arabic and am currently learning Spanish) and I love anything related to music (can play the piano and dancing (kizomba being my main hobby currently), so I'm always down for a spontaneous dance!
I thoroughly enjoy hiking and finding quiet spots to immerse myself in nature, and I also like getting lost in a good book.
Though I think what I love doing the most is learning, which is why I became a scientist; I am curious by nature and love learning new skills!Interests

I know some basics of the Spanish language and understand better than I can speak it and would love to be able to speak it fluently!Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

More details about your skills
As I grew up in different countries learning different languages I've learned to communicate well and to adapt quickly to different situations and environment. I'm naturally curious and a passionate about learning new things and skills and as a laboratory scientist I have to be organised, manage my time well, and be patient. I am familiar with volunteering, both with animals (in animal shelters - taking care of animals, cleaning cages, feeding, playing and interacting with different animals, as well as going for walks with dogs) and people (visiting refugee camps in Jordan when I was younger, and then as I grew older I was part of a telephone befriending service for vulnerable people, and then penpal with inmates in a non-judgemental, anonymous and safe setting).
