Hello,
We’re Alexandra and Arthur, a French couple in our thirties, just coming to the end of our Working Holiday Visa in Canada. This past year has been a truly meaningful chapter in our lives—full of discovery, new encounters, and learning experiences.
We’ve crossed Canada from west to east: from the Rockies to the remote wilderness of the Yukon, all the way to the forests of Québec. We traveled for several months in a van, following the seasons, opportunities, and our instincts. Along the way, we also explored the U.S.—the wide-open landscapes of the West, the beaches of Florida, the vibrant energy of New York… But what we’ve enjoyed most are the quieter places: nature, space, and genuine connections with people.
That’s the kind of lifestyle we want to continue—traveling, discovering new cultures, contributing to meaningful projects, and learning as we go.
We both have experience in hospitality and food service, a field we enjoy and want to keep improving in, as we have a future project in mind.
We’re reliable, curious, motivated, and always happy to lend a hand. We enjoy being part of small teams, taking part in daily life, and building connections through shared experiences.
We’re looking forward to this next step in our journey, and to joining projects where we can grow, contribute, and continue living fully.

Bonjour,
Interests

Before coming to Canada, we had quite different backgrounds: Arthur worked in IT and audiovisual production, while Alexandra was a team manager in a Parisian theatre, where she supervised and trained new staff members.
Since arriving in Canada, we have fully committed ourselves to the hospitality industry — a field in which we’ve learned a lot and truly enjoyed growing.
We’ve taken on various roles, often very versatile, including:
– breakfast preparation,
– kitchen assistance and setup,
– training of new staff,
– table service,
– cleaning of hotel rooms and chalets,
– guest reception and service in high-end accommodations (such as ski chalets),
– and more recently, service in a very busy microbrewery.
These experiences have taught us to adapt quickly, work efficiently as a team, and keep smiling even during the busiest times.

Age

What else ...
Arthur: I’m a big fan of ice hockey and have been playing for five years. I’m always up for shooting some hoops or going for a bike ride. I also love baking all kinds of treats—cakes, crepes, bread dough, pizza dough...
Alexandra: For me, I’m really into movies—the very first thing I did when I arrived in Canada was buy a projector! I also love going out to restaurants and trying new flavors.
Together: We both share a passion for traveling. We’ve spent a lot of time in South America, which helped us quickly brush up on our Spanish. We enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking in the mountains—those sweaty climbs are always worth it once you reach the top. We love living in our van, being able to stop wherever we want, pulling out a dice game, opening a good bottle of wine, slicing some cured sausage, and watching the sunset.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some more information
