Hello,

My name is Ainhoa, and I'm a half-Spanish/half-Italian girl living in Italy. I am bubbly, chatty, and a ray of sunshine, but also calm and responsible. Growing up in a big town, I enjoy being in nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I've been raised bilingual, so I can speak both languages, and I love learning new ones. English is one of my favourites and since I've never really been to any English-speaking country, I'd love to get an insight into the language and the culture (I'm especially interested in the UK and Ireland).

I really like children and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. Last academic year I worked as a language teacher for toddlers and children (2-5 y.o) and I absolutely loved the job! Children coming to hug me as soon as I entered the class made my day every day, as well as filling my heart with joy. I also worked as a babysitter several times when I was younger (4-12 y.o).

Currently, I am taking a gap year before I start my master's, and I am hoping that the experience will help me bond with the hosts and create lasting memories that I will cherish forever.

I love exploring new places, visiting cafés and chatting with a friend, or just sitting on a bench and people-watching. I like yoga, reading and baking, going to cute second-hand shops and cuddling my dog… A LOT.

Children: As I said before, I'm experienced working with children, both teaching and babysitting. Sometimes working with them can be a little hard and tiring, but my favourite part is coming up with new games, and creative ideas as well as playing, painting and try to involve them in fun activities.

Teaching: I have experience teaching languages, mainly English, Spanish, and Italian. I worked as a language teacher, both for children and teenagers. I also taught adults and all I can say is that I really love this job. Furthermore, I also have massive respect for people who do it full-time, since I know how mentally exhausting it can be.

Marketing and translation: I worked for a German start-up and learned about marketing, content writing, and SEO.

Volunteering and other relevant experiences: In addition to volunteering for the Italian Red Cross, I worked as a waitress in Belgium and volunteered at a dog shelter there.

Last but not least: I like to keep everything tidy and neat, so it is no problem for me to do house chores as I'm used to them at home. :)
