Hello, My name is Abi. I am a 32year old Scottish woman. The thing that really makes me happy is connecting with people. I have spent over 3.5years travelling and volunteering (through helpX, with over 17 hosts) and I absolutely love it!
When I'm back home, I work as a care worker with the elderly, and in the past have worked in hospitality and with young people in care.

I have a degree in Physics and Astronomy, but also trained in therapeutic massage and recently have completed a Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification.

I travel by bicycle. In the past I have brought my dog although he is staying with my family for this upcoming trip for various reasons.

I am trying to travel to Australia, slowly.

I would be honoured to meet you and spend time together. I am a hard worker and very conflict averse.

We have only one life, I'm trying to enjoy it!

Employment:

- ski chalet as a chalet host in Alpe d'Huez. Worked in a 12man chalet for 5 months cooking and cleaning.

- restaurants and cafes as a waitress and batista and cook

- Care worker for elderly, disabilities, young people in care

- English, maths, physics and chemistry tutor

- worked on farms in Scotland and France, fruit and veg, grapes

Through volunteering I've used tools, wood chopping, painting, oiling, made bird houses, fences, gardening, weeding, horses, stable mucking out, hotels and hostels, cleaning and housework
