Travelling
Description
I am just starting out on my university career after doing my first semester abroad in London. I learned more than I can describe from that experience, and not just from London. While I was away I traveled to Wales, Italy, Poland and Morocco, and those trips just served to assert my love of the unfamiliar. Traveling is quickly turning from an opportunistic hobby into a lifestyle.
If You Need More
I am, admittedly, a bit of an adrenaline junky. Give me a chance to try anything I haven't done and, after some initial mincing about, I'll jump in. The more active the job, the better, and I like to work hard. My ideal day would be one spent doing things I've never done before and stumbling home so tired that I sleepwalk to bed. However, as much as I enjoy physical tasks, few things entertain me better than a mental challenge. To do something that offers both, I'm set. I take flight lessons at my local airport. I'm a big proponent of art, music, weird science and weird food. I've got two dogs and a horse I would be lost without. And I cannot seem to stop reading.Languages

More details about your skills
I'm a chronic jack-of-many-trades. I studied political science and marine science for my bachelor's degree, which entailed mountains of research and writing, which I loved. I've also been an amateur devotee of the arts for most of my life, with particular focus on the 2D visual arts: oil painting, drawing, photography, watercolor, etc.
I also spent the last 1 1/2 years working at a marine research institution, so I have ample experience on boats and in labs, working in equal measure with exceedingly delicate analytical instruments and heavy machinery.
Among my hobbies are hiking, camping, backpacking and general outdoorsy adventuring, scuba diving, Brazilian jiu jitsu and whatever kind of exercise piques my fancy in the moment. I'm happy as long as I get to learn something new.Age

What else ...
I think it's fair to say that my life model thus far has been a little unconventional. I've lived in Philadelphia, London, Honolulu, the Hague and Seoul, and I've travelled to 19 countries with no plans to settle. This world has more to offer than anyone could ever see in a lifetime, but I want to do what I can while I can. Every move I've ever made to a new place, every trip, has changed me, however minutely. Every new idea for the next adventure is driven by the curiosity to see who I will be at the end of it. Learning new hobbies, new skills, having unexpected, sometimes uncomfortable experience and, most importantly, quietly building an international network of friends; that's why I do this.
