Hello, my name is Rachel and I'm from Vancouver Canada. I am so excited to experience a new place and to meet new people! Nature is my happy place. I love to hike and spend time outdoors. I'd say I am fairly active and really enjoy hiking (also hoping to learn how to surf!) I am also a huge fan of finding a peaceful spot somewhere outside and just taking it easy. I enjoy rock climbing/bouldering and I am currently taking pottery classes and loving it! I would love to learn all about your cool hobbies!

I decided to join workaway because I was looking for a way to travel that would allow me to slow down and get to really experience somewhere new.

As for my skills, I have lots of experience working with babies and children. I used to work as a nanny and I also volunteer in the Nursery at my church. I am a CDA (certified dental assistant) but I am currently back in school to pursue a psychology degree. I am quite comfortable in a kitchen and I love to try new recipes (I would be very excited if you would be willing to teach me a thing or two!) I am prepared to jump in with whatever you may need me to help out with. I have been puttering around a garden since I was young and while i'm not sure if that qualifies as a skill, I do have a love and an enthusiasm for garden and outdoor work!

I would really love to learn more about gardening! It's something I am passionate about but I haven't been able to do as much since I don't quite have the space for it right now.
