Hello! I'm Yuri, from Japan. I'm 21 years old and currently a university student majoring in pedagogical anthropology. I’m so excited to spend September in Finland, getting my hands dirty and learning as much as I can.

I hope to spend the final summer vacation of my university life in the country I love—Finland.One of my dreams is to experience the slow and peaceful countryside lifestyle in Finland—like enjoying saunas and swimming in lakes. I love connecting with people and being part of a welcoming home. I want to fully immerse myself in the local culture.
I’m a hard worker and always up for an adventure, whether that’s fixing something around the house or picking fresh veggies from the garden. Mostly, I just want to feel like part of the family and experience real everyday life in Finland :)

I’ve always wanted to engage in cultural exchange, and Workaway seems like the perfect way to step out of my comfort zone and become part of a new culture. I laugh a lot, I’m highly motivated, and I love trying new things.
I haven’t participated in Workaway before, but I’m really excited about it!

I am working in service as a waitress for 3 years.

I can cook Japanese food if you like. I stayed with a host family in Toronto, Canada for one month, so I’m comfortable living with others.
Lately, I’ve gotten into photography , so I’m always looking for interesting places and moments to capture. I also love being in the water, whether it’s a lake, ocean, or just a pool, and if there’s one nearby, I’ll probably be the first to jump in. Cooking and baking are a huge part of my life, especially trying new recipes and figuring out how to make something from scratch. But more than anything, I love spending time with people - sharing experiences, learning from each other, and just enjoying good company.
