Hi there! My name's Emily, and i'm happiest when i'm active and outdoors, which means when i'm not on a hiking trip, i'm probably planning one. At home, in Australia, I love doing a bit of everything, but at the moment it's mostly cheerleading, running, hiking, and a little bit of (very bad) drawing. I'm always interested in learning new things from people, especially those who have so much passion for their own interests. I'de say the thing that motivates me the most, is having that small group of people to cheer you on in life! I love the friends and family I have around me, which is why I thought workaway would be the best way to connect with people from all corners of the world.

I work professionally in communications and events, so i'm great with any design work you might need for socials or advertising. I also love working with children and young people. I've had experience teaching English to small classes, hosting children's birthday parties, supporting summer camps, and being involved in a very exciting project to open a new child-centred school (operates along the lines of Montessori schooling).
Previously, i've also worked in hospitality in my local community, so I love anything that allows me get to know people.
As well as owning three cats and two dogs, my family also fosters animals from a few different organisations around us. I've had work experience at Lort Smith Animal Hospital, and volunteer at Pet's Haven, so i'm super comfortable with all types of animals and caring for them. Although I only have a smaller veggie patch at home, I'de also love to help out on something bigger, and would be super capable of helping out with any gardening needs.
