Description
Our community is located in Val di Vara, right in front of the Borsa stream.
Our life is based on deep meditation and sharing. We have fields that we cultivate with organic methods especially for the needs of the community itself and we take care of the environment that surrounds us.
We also have cats, donkeys, a horse, chickens (only for eggs because we are vegetarians).
Our community is Catholic, but open and we are happy to meet other cultures and religions.
Our Spartan lifestyle is punctuated by 3 daily meditation sessions.
We will be able to practice deep meditation together, do work in nature, construction work, practice organic farming in our small valley and transform the products to obtain healthy foods that we will share (there are no paying guests).
Guests stay together in an old stone house with communal dining room and bathrooms. Like everyone else you will sleep on the floor in single or multiple heated rooms divided by gender. If you have a sleeping bag, please bring it. In summer it is possible to camp.
We eat vegetarian, we do not consume alcohol, coffee, garlics, onions and smoking is not allowed inside the houses.
When we finish our work we relax by playing, dancing, telling stories ... because we don't have TV !!
The community was born from the "reconstructors" association which for over 40 years has been involved in the practice and dissemination of deep meditation and here the association was born, which promotes cultural and educational initiatives in the Val di Vara area.
What we want is to know people with whom to share spirituality and work in a community and fraternal way.
We speak Italian, French and English.

Life in common always offers many opportunities to learn and grow. There will not be an experience the same as another because there are often new people and help also vary based on many factors. Surely there will be the opportunity to practice meditation together and whoever wants to can deepen. For those who want to try help in the countryside, we have all kinds of them: looking after the fields, the animals, building dry stone walls or palisades. All this in a truly rich and wild natural context.

We are only looking for loving and open-minded people, curious about meditation, enthusiastic about experiencing a community, spiritual and Spartan lifestyle. You can help us farm, plant, harvest, build, restore, cook, clean, take care of donkeys, maintenance.

Accommodation
Guests will stay together in a old stone house with dining hall and common bathrooms. They will sleep on the ground in single or multiple heated rooms divided by sex. If you have a sleeping bag, bring it please. In summer is possible to camp.

Is very easy to reach Cinque Terre, going to the sea, visit Genova, Parma and Pisa, do trekking on our mountains and do canyoning in clean torrents.

Despite the problems with spoken English, collaborating with Dallas proved to be easy and fun. Dallas was also helpful when he had the flu! Kind and intelligent he quick mastered how to prepare delicious pancakes with maple syrup for all the community. I advise all the hosts not to let him escape!
