Hi there!
We live in a lovely old farmhouse built in 1850, and we have chickens, geese, and cats. All in all, we enjoy a wonderful rural life with our four cats, and we’d be happy to have you join us!
We’re excited to host Workawayers who want to stay with us for between 1 and 3 weeks. Ideally, we host Workawayers who are over 30 years old.
We see Workaway as a mutual exchange, where both sides benefit. We treat our Workawayers as temporary members of our family (and stay in touch with many of them even after their visit). If you’d like, we take you with us to family celebrations and everywhere else we go. We’ll also show you the truly beautiful spots in the area, away from the tourist crowds.
We love spending time with you, but we also appreciate independence and if you enjoy exploring on your own. Don’t worry, if you ever get lost, we’ll come to the rescue and pick you up! ;-)
We host one Workawayer or a couple in a cozy, comfortable room with private bathroom.

Wir leben in einem netten alten Bauernhaus das 1850 gebaut wurde und haben Hühner, Gänse und Katzen. Alles in allem führen wir ein wunderbares Landleben mit unseren 4 Katzen und freuen uns, wenn du ein Teil davon wirst.
Wir freuen uns, Workawayer bei uns zu haben die mit uns zwischen 1 und 3 Wochen leben.
Wir hosten idealerweise Workawayer älter als 30 Jahre.
Wir betrachten Workaway als ein Geben und Nehmen für beide Seiten. Wir sehen unsere Workawayer als temporäre Mitglieder unserer Familie an (und haben mit vielen auch nach ihrem Besuch noch Kontakt) und nehmen sie daher fast überall hin mit - auch zu Familienfeiern - wenn sie das möchten. Wir zeigen dir die wirklich sehenswerten Dinge in der Umgebung abseits der touristischen Plätze.
Wir verbringen also gerne Zeit mit dir, aber wir schätzen es auch, wenn du unabhängig bist und gerne auf eigen Faust Dinge unternimmst. Keine Sorge, im Fall der Fälle gabeln wir dich auch wieder auf, wenn du verloren gehst ;-)
Wir beherbergen 1 Workawayer*in oder ein Pärchen in einem schicken und bequemen Zimmer mit privatem Bad.

We usually take you out and do some home cooking of regional Austrian food wich you cannot get anywhere else.
We have a little tradition here: we always ask our Workawayers to cook a typical dish from their home country for us. We love trying new recipes and learning about different cultures through food, so we would be delighted if you could share a taste of your home with us!
Help
What you can expect to do are the tasks I handle throughout the year myself and where I might need your help, namely: mowing the lawn, haying, cleaning the hen house, feeding the animals, weeding, planting, general gardening tasks, harvesting and preserving, or other tasks that may arise.

Accommodation
We offer a seperate room with a Queen size bed (1,40m) and a private bathroom.
We kindly ask you to prepare your breakfast /snacks yourself (we just have coffee most of the time in the mornings) and have dinner together in the evening.
Wir bieten ein eigenes Zimmer mit einem Französischem Bett (1,40m) und ein Bad für dich.
Wir bitten Dich, Dein Frühstück /Snacks selbst zuzubereiten (wir trinken nämlich meist nur einen Kaffee) und abends essen wir dann alle gemeinsam.
What else ...
The farm is located in Altheim, Upper Austria. 20km to Ried im Innkreis, 12km to Braunau/Inn, 50km to Salzburg, 100km to Linz, 30km to Schärding, 150km to Munich. We have a train station 2km from the farm from where you can reach the cities mentioned above. We can also offer you some bikes to get there. We have a thermal spa just 2km away in Geinberg and you can go hiking, biking, to the nearby town with some pubs and many local Events mainly in summer. Or just relax at our pond - you can go fishing for carps if you bring your equipment. Or we just have a BBQ.
We are no Vegetarians / Vegans, we drink alcohol, we are non-smokers (but you can smoke outside, no problem). We have cats. You need to love cats.
Unser Hof liegt nahe Altheim in Oberösterreich. Die nächsten größeren Städte sind Ried (20km), Braunau/Inn (12km), Salzburg (50km), Linz (100km), Schärding (30km), München (150km). Der Bahnhof liegt ca. 2 km vom Hof entfernt, von dem sich die oben angeführten Städte gut erreichen lassen. Wir verborgen auch Räder um dorthin zu gelangen. In 2km Entfernung zum Hof gibt es ein Thermalbad (Therme Geinberg) und unsere Gegend eignet sich gut zum zu wandern und Rad zu fahren, in Altheim gibt es einige Pubs und typische innviertler Gasthäuser sowie viele lokale Events, vor allem im Sommer. Oder Du entspannst an unserem Teich - da ist auch Karpfenfischen möglich, wenn Du Deine Ausrüstung mitbringst. Oder wir grillen.
Wir sind keine Vegetarier, wir trinken Alkohol, wir sind Nichtraucher (Draußen rauchen ist aber kein Problem). Wir haben Katzen. Und du musst Katzen lieben.
