Description
Hi! I'm Milagros, and I run a beautiful 2-hectare farm in El Bolsón, Patagonia, Argentina. I'm working on a big project: transforming my home into a sustainable hostel and creating a unique countryside experience with a vegetable garden, chickens, a mare, a trout lagoon, a bonfire space, and cozy shared areas.
I'm looking for volunteers who are strong, practical, and kind-hearted—people who enjoy working with their hands and being outdoors. Help is needed with gardening, digging irrigation ditches, building, decorating, painting, furniture-making, and bringing creative energy into the space.
This is a great opportunity for those who want to connect with nature, share meaningful moments, and take part in a real hands-on project. The environment is peaceful but active—especially during winter—so it's important to come prepared for cold weather. The sleeping area is heated with gas, and the town is just 12 minutes away by car. I can help with transportation when needed.
I invite you to be part of building something beautiful from the ground up, surrounded by nature, good vibes, and honest work.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Volunteers will experience life in Patagonia surrounded by mountains, rivers, and nature. This is a unique opportunity to learn about sustainable living, gardening, rural construction, and how to transform a large countryside home into a warm and welcoming hostel.
We share a simple, conscious lifestyle based on working with nature, eating healthy, and taking care of the land. You’ll be part of the daily rhythm of the chacra, helping with practical tasks and sharing stories around the fire or over a mate.
You'll also have the chance to explore local traditions, markets, and even visit the nearby ski slopes during winter. I love to exchange knowledge, hear about different cultures, and create a space where we all grow through the experience.Help
Main tasks include gardening, digging trenches for irrigation systems, planting, garden and landscape design, indoor construction and repairs (painting, furniture, beds), interior decorating, and bringing creative ideas to beautify the space.
People with skills in carpentry, masonry, landscaping, or decoration are highly valued—but a good attitude, willingness to learn, and teamwork are just as importantLanguages
Languages spoken
Spanish: Fluent
English: BeginnerThis host offers a language exchange
I’d love to take part in a language exchange. I can help volunteers practice and improve their Spanish through daily conversations and shared tasks—we'll naturally speak and learn together. I also enjoy learning new languages and would love to exchange words, expressions, and cultural insights. Language is a beautiful way to connect!Accommodation
Volunteers will stay in a cozy cabin located within the chacra, surrounded by nature. The cabin accommodates up to 4 volunteers, with each person having their own bed. All spaces are shared and the cabin is fully equipped with a complete bathroom and kitchen.
There is gas heating to keep you warm during the colder months, as well as Wi-Fi and drinking water. Laundry service will be available during your stay.
Volunteers are responsible for their own meals, but we offer regular rides to town (about 10 km away) at scheduled times so you can do your grocery shopping and get what you need. What else ...
On your days off, you can take a local bus from the village and enjoy a full day at the nearby ski resort during the winter season. The town of El Bolsón is charming, with cozy cafes, stunning views, local markets, and beautiful trails to hike and explore.
This is a peaceful place, perfect for those who enjoy nature and silence. I greatly value the calming rhythm of the chacra, my animals, and the simplicity of life here. I also love to sing and work as an acupuncturist.
As a host, I welcome all cultures and personal histories; there is always something new to learn from others, and I find that truly wonderful. If we meet, it will be an honor to host you, and with deep respect, I hope you feel at home.A little more information
