Description
I am Layla, I have been voluntering in Aloona Tola. It was a amazing experience and now I am looking for someone to follow my footsteps. I started yoga for the ladies in the village and it was a hit. Please help me to continue this!
Aloona Tola is a beautifull small village in Punjab a region in India.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
you will bring yoga, joy and color to the life of those that need it most. We started the yoga online December 2018, it is the first time there is anything for the ladies happening in the village. normally all they do is work for the family and they don't leave the house. Having something like yoga is extremely beneficial for them. Since we started all the classes have been full. Your karma is going to be great after this plus you can learn so much from teaching. I know I did.

Homestay, shared rooms. Beside yoga volunteers we also have artist staying in Aloona Tola. All of you will stay with the coach of the football team and his family. Food is provided everyday, all day long. Home cooked Punjabi meals in the community kitchen in which also the kids of the village come to have a bite.
What else ...
The village is being painted by artist in a project called paint for Punjab by the Roundglass foundation. this makes it to be the most colourful and beautiful village I have ever seen. In your free time you can just have a walk around the village, drink a chai at one of the village ladies (Punjabi people are know for being super welcoming) you can help on of the artist at the work or maybe paint a wall on your own if you feel like it. There is a beautiful rooftop for your own yoga practice and the other volunteers are really cool people to hang out with. You can teach as many classes a you would like to. What I did was teach the volunteers in the morning, the ladies in the afternoon followed by the kids of the football team and every other day I did a private for my hostess. nothing is set and stone As long as the ladies have a class you look forward too we are very happy with you.
There is a taxi you can use paid by the Roundglass foundation that can pick you up from the train/busstation and bring you to nearby villages if you need to do a shop are just want to see some citylife.
Please buy a Indian simcard as there is no Wifi. This is a remote village so reception is not great all though you can have pretty good videochats when you are on the roof or on the mainstreet of the village. Whatsapp and stuff works everywhere,A little more information
