  Description

  My name is Prune, I’m 40 years old, and I’m a trained special education teacher. I’m currently setting up a retreat for people suffering from burnout and psychosocial distress, based on the principles of garden therapy. I began working on this project several years ago, during which time I’ve developed various aspects of it through my experiences around the world. I moved into this old farmhouse in August 2022. Most of the time, I work on making the place pleasant by preparing the vegetable gardens, orchards, animal enclosures, green spaces, and buildings. The therapeutic garden is still in its early stages, and I’m also making progress on the cultural aspect of the project. A family festival (100 people) has been held since October 2023. It’s now a biannual event, and other concerts will be organized regularly in the barn.
  I live with my three adorable kittens, Apollon, Puzzle, and Maroilles. Eight sheep from Cameroon and six chickens join us in making up this little farm.
  
  
  Je m'appelle Prune, j'ai 40 ans et j'ai une formation d'éducatrice spécialisée. Je suis en train de créer un lieu d'accueil pour les personnes souffrant d'épuisement professionnel et psychosocial, basé sur les principes de la thérapie par le jardinage. J'ai commencé à travailler sur ce projet il y a plusieurs années, au cours desquelles j'ai travaillé sur différents aspects au fur et à mesure de mes expériences à travers le monde. Je suis arrivée dans cette ancienne ferme en août 2022. La plus part du temps je travaille à rendre le lieu agréable en préparant les potagers, les vergers, les parcs des animaux, les espaces verts et les bâtiments. L'activité du jardin thérapeutique en est à ses débuts, et j'avance également sur le volet culturel du projet. Un festival familial (100 personnes) est organisé depuis octobre 2023. Il est aujourd'hui un événement bi-annuel, et d'autres concerts seront amené à être organisés régulièrement dans la grange.
  Je vis avec mes trois adorables chatons, Apollon, Puzzle et Maroilles. Et 8 moutons du Cameroun et 6 poules forment avec nous cette petite ferme.

  My goal is to make this farm a place of peace, a natural setting where one feels good, as well as a place for artistic creation and encounters. The project is still very new, so we take the time to observe, reflect, and exchange. My partner, my family, and my friends are regular visitors. Here, we learn from each other, we garden, we build, we adapt. I also enjoy cooking and doing small DIY projects. At the same time, I work in a live music café, which I would be delighted to take you to—it's always a pleasant place to spend an evening. I also play in three bands and do a lot of concerts, which I would be delighted to take you to.
  
  Mon objectif est de faire de cette ferme un lieu de paix, un cadre naturel où l'on se sent bien, ainsi qu'un lieu de création artistique et de rencontres. Le projet est encore très récent, nous prenons donc le temps d'observer, de réfléchir et d'échanger. Mon compagnon, ma famille et mes amis sont des visiteurs assidus. Ici, on apprend les uns des autres, on jardine, on construit, on s'adapte. J'aime aussi cuisiner et faire des petits bricolages. Parallèlement, je travaille dans un café-concert où je serais ravie de vous emmener - c'est toujours un endroit agréable pour passer une soirée. Je joue également dans 3 groupes et je fais beaucoup de concerts, auxquels je serais ravie de vous emmener.

  Help

  There is a hectare of land on which various vegetable, fruit, and relaxation areas need to be created and maintained. There is also the barn in which various spaces still need to be developed. I spent 8 years abroad, during which I did a lot of volunteer work and learned a lot about self-confidence and nature. There is always something to learn, and here the space is dedicated to creation and innovation, and many small projects can be set up to test and gain experience. Plant help: vegetable gardens, hedges, orchards, and green spaces; woodworking with mini- DIY are the main activities here.
  
  Il y a un hectare de terrain sur lequel il faut créer et entretenir différents espaces potagers, fruitiers et de détente. Il y a aussi la grange dans laquelle il reste à aménager différents espaces. J'ai passé 8 ans à l'étranger, pendant lesquels j'ai fait beaucoup de bénévolat et j'ai beaucoup appris sur la confiance en soi et la nature. Il y a toujours quelque chose à apprendre, et ici l'espace est dédié à la création et à l'innovation, et beaucoup de petits projets peuvent être mis en place pour tester et acquérir de l'expérience. aide aux plantes : potagers, haies, vergers et espaces verts ; travail du bois avec des mini-constructions et construction de murs en pierres sèches sont les principales activités ici.

  Accommodation

  We've created a mezzanine dormitory in the barn, with two double mattresses. And for those who want to, there's plenty of space to pitch your tents. Under the dormitory, there's a communal kitchen where we'll cook with as much garden produce as possible.
  
  Nous avons créé un dortoir en mezzanine dans la grange, avec deux matelas doubles. Et pour ceux qui le souhaitent, il y a beaucoup d'espace pour planter vos tentes. Sous le dortoir, il y a une cuisine commune où nous cuisinerons avec un maximum de produits du jardin.

  What else ...

  My farm is located in the Normandy countryside, where there are numerous hiking trails, and a greenway that leads to Mont Saint Michel passes nearby. Suisse Normande, with its numerous hiking, climbing, and canoeing trails, is a 45-minute drive away. The same is true for the beautiful beaches of the southern Manche region. And of course, there's a vibrant cultural scene in the region, with concerts, festivals, and exhibitions.
  Public transportation is not very well developed in the region, but solutions will always be found.

La Suisse Normande, avec ses nombreux circuits de randonnée, d'escalade et de canoë-kayak, est à 45 minutes en voiture. Il en va de même pour les belles plages du sud de la Manche. Et bien sûr, il y a une grande vie culturelle dans la région, avec des concerts, des festivals et des expositions.
