Description
We’re hosting a special English-subtitled screening of ALL SHALL BE WELL at Uplink Kyoto on March 6 at 14:55. The film tells the story of a long-term lesbian couple whose life is thrown into uncertainty when one partner passes away and the law does not recognize their relationship as family. After the screening (around 16:30), we’ll gather informally in the cinema’s café space to talk about the film. This is not a formal lecture — just an open and relaxed space to reflect and share thoughts about LGBTQ+ rights, chosen family, and how different countries recognize partnerships. Who should join? • Workawayers living in or visiting Kyoto • LGBTQ+ community members and allies • Anyone interested in queer cinema and social issues • People who enjoy meaningful conversations across cultures International guests are very welcome. Participation in the gathering is free — just grab a drink at the café and join us. Let’s watch a powerful film and continue the conversation together.

Please attend the 14:55 screening of ALL SHALL BE WELL at Uplink Kyoto. After the film (around 16:30), we will gather informally in the cinema’s café area. There is no formal registration — just join us after the screening. Please purchase your cinema ticket directly from UPLINK Kyoto (online or at the box office). The space is open and welcoming. Feel free to come alone.
