Description
This year we’re organizing a cycle of six hands-on SuperAdobe workshops, a deep learning experience where you’ll build a real project from start to finish. The workshops will take place once a month from March through August, each module moving us step-by-step toward completing two SuperAdobe domes. In August, we’ll celebrate the completion of the full structure and the journey we’ve shared. It’s a great chance to dive into the world of natural building, connect with like-minded people from different backgrounds, and experience community life in a vibrant desert oasis. Volunteers who are already part of the project will receive a special discount to join the workshops. You’re welcome to participate in a single module or join the entire process. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on skills, share community life, and explore the power of SuperAdobe building in real time. Additional instructions or information for attendees
To reach our place from Arequipa, you need to take a minivan to the town of La Joya. The ride costs around 7 soles, and you can find the minivans right in front of the main bus terminal in Arequipa. Once you arrive at the main square of La Joya, I can either pick you up personally, or I can share the contact of a trusted mototaxi driver who can bring you directly to the house. The project is located in the Mocoro Valley, also known as the Valley of the Springs, within the La Joya valley. It’s about 10 minutes by car from the main square, or around one hour on foot.
