Hello everyone! My name is Louis (he/him), and I grew up in Hong Kong. I have had the opportunity to study in three different countries and am currently taking a gap year. Starting in February 2024, I will be embarking on a journey to explore various East Asian countries. This will be a chance for me to delve deeper into Asian cultures and societies, as they are my own roots. I don't have a concrete career plan at the moment, but I hope that the experiences and encounters I have in the coming year will inspire me and guide my path.

In the summer of 2024, I will begin my university studies with a focus on Conservation Biology/Environmental Science. As a vegetarian myself, I am passionate about engaging in animal welfare projects and have volunteered at several dog shelters around the world. Through my studies in Biology, I aim to gain knowledge and build connections that will contribute to creating a world where humans can peacefully coexist with other species on our shared planet.

I possess a range of skills and knowledge. I have a keen interest in photography and can provide photo collections for your organization or document events. I also have basic knowledge of videography and can assist with video editing. Speaking Cantonese my mother tongue, I am also fluent in English and Mandarin. I have experience teaching Chinese to foreigners and tutoring English to children. With a history of collaboration in numerous team projects and personal endeavors, I can adapt to various environments and assume both leadership and team player roles. Additionally, I have some experience in the catering industry and consider myself an amateur cook. I once won a cooking contest at my school and am familiar with several cuisines, particularly vegetarian dishes.

By the age of 20, I have traveled to 20 different countries worldwide. I have been embraced by the warmth of my Brazilian host family, witnessed the struggles and frustrations of the Palestinian people while volunteering, and taught Chinese to locals at my Armenian high school. These journeys have fostered a deep connection between myself and diverse cultures from around the world. I have come to understand that by embracing our differences, we can truly appreciate diversity and utilize it as a tool to create peace in the world. My passion for exploration knows no bounds, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you out there!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I can handle basic office work with Microsoft office and I have a lot of experience in interacting with kids. I was volunteering for several southeast Asian families back in Hong Kong.

I started vlogging my life this year which equipped me with some intermediate skills in video editing.

In addition, I am native in Cantonese and fluent in Mandarin and English. I can teach you Chinese or help you practice English.
