Hello everyone!👋 I am Yee Bo😃, a final-year degree student based in Kuala Lumpur 👨‍🎓 I was born and raised in Taiping, a small town located near Ipoh, Perak. Some fun facts about my hometown: it is one of the places that receives the highest rainfall in Peninsular Malaysia. Additionally, it is a significant historical town in Malaysia, boasting several "firsts" such as the first railway, the first prison, and the first airstrip in Malaysia. Besides, it is situated near mountains and a lake, allowing you to enjoy a spectacular view with beautiful rain trees at the Lake Garden against an amazing mountain backdrop. ⛰️

I am an avid nature and animal lover with a perpetual curiosity 🕵️ about the world around me. Leaving home at 18 to pursue my studies marked a significant chapter in my life. Now, at 21, I find myself still drawn to the serene pace of life in my hometown, preferring it over the hustle and bustle of the city. Volunteering and travelling have become my passions, providing me with the opportunity to see the world through a different lens. Through Workaway, I've been fortunate to immerse myself in diverse cultures and lifestyles, sparking my curiosity about new things and offering a unique perspective on the world. 🌏

My first Workaway experience was at a horse farm 🐎 in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. The horse farm has more than 50 horses of various types, such as Arabian, Thoroughbred, and so on. I spent 2 weeks there, helping with various tasks like maintaining the stable, feeding, and taking care of the horses. I am glad that I had the opportunity to learn horse riding during my time volunteering there. I also got to meet other Workawayers from different countries during my stay. This place made me fall in love with horses, and now I still go back often to help out during my free time, especially when there are competitions.

My second Workaway experience was at a campstay on Redang Island 🏝️, Terengganu. The campstay is in a very remote location and has its own private beach. I had a great time volunteering there as the place is very close to nature, and I got to see a sky full of stars at night and various types of wild creatures. I even witnessed a Green Sea Turtle 🐢 laying eggs on the day of my departure. During my time volunteering there, I helped out with chores like sweeping, cleaning, washing clothes, and picking up plastic bottles along the beach. I also had the opportunity to meet people, have fun, and engage in meaningful conversations together.

I eagerly anticipate gaining more experiences in the future, and I hope that these encounters will contribute to my personal growth. I aspire to carry the wisdom gained from these experiences with me throughout my life journey. 😆

My 16 Personalities test has always been ISTP. I consider myself a fast learner, so if you guide me in the process, I can quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks. In terms of skills, I excel in computer knowledge and hands-on jobs like woodworking and various DIY projects. Additionally, I have a keen interest in farming, photography, marketing, and business, and I am actively engaged in learning and honing these skills.
