It’s hard to put myself into words, after all… who am I? I’m a multifaceted and dynamic person, always growing and evolving as life progresses. But, despite that, I’d like to share a few interesting things about who I am—at least the 2024 version of Vitor that I want you to know.

I’m Brazilian 🇧🇷, 29 years old, born in the countryside of Brazil 🌾. I have a deep love for my country, its people, and its natural beauty, but I also have a passion for travel ✈🌍 and I’m excited by all the things the world has to offer!

In terms of personality, I’m a calm person, though I enjoy meaningful conversations and social interactions. I’m flexible, open-minded, a good listener, creative and energetic! I’m a proudly gay man 🏳‍🌈👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨, and being able to express myself authentically is essential to me.

Some of my interests are: nature 🏞️ (particularly mountains ⛰️ and beaches 🏖️), reading 📚, cycling 🚴‍♂️, yoga 🧘‍♂️ & meditation 🧘‍♀️, cooking 🍳, and photography 📷.

I came to Europe in 2022, when I stayed 10 months in Italy 🇮🇹 to get my italian citizenship. That year I traveled around and did 3 volunteer programs in France and Italy. After that, I moved to Dublin 🇮🇪, here I found a job, build a life, found a boyfriend! We moved together, and after a while, we both decided to quit our jobs and go for a sabbatical again 🙏🏼— A time about self-discovery, finding my path, and awakening my consciousness ✨☺, while exploring new places, meeting new people, and immersing myself in different cultures and ways of life. We’re open to endless possibilities!

Additionally, I speak three languages fluently: Portuguese 🇧🇷, Italian 🇮🇹, and English 🇬🇧, and I can get by in a few more (German 🇩🇪 and Spanish 🇪🇸).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have skills, interest in learning/working and could be useful in the following areas:

-PHOTOGRAPHY: I have a professional camera and I love taking pictures, mainly about people, in the nature and walking around cities (architecture details enchant me!). I can use these skills (and my camera) to help you take good pictures of your location and to document events and projects (if you want to share it somewhere).

-COOKING: I LOVE to cook! Mainly salty and vegetarian dishes.

-ORGANIZE AND CLEAN HOUSE: I am a very organized person, and I have always kept my house clean and in order.

-SOCIAL NETWORKS; EVENTS AND PUBLICITY: I have some experiences involved events organization, publicity of courses and lectures.

Now, I'm gonna talk a little more about what I like to do, my interests and what I'm looking for NOW, so you can know me better ;)

-TRAVELLING: I love to travel! Discovering new places, different cultures, making new friends is something that makes me very happy. I highlight here that in 2015 I lived in Europe for a year (in Munich, Germany) and during that year I visited a lot of European countries! But something I'm looking for now, which will be done through Workaway experiences, is a slower type of travel, I want to become a traveler and not a tourist, staying longer in each city, getting to know the locals better and getting involved with local groups. Currently my favorite destination is quiet places, in comfortable houses, surrounded by nature (preferably mountains!).

-BIKE: I love the feeling of freedom that riding a bike brings, it's so good to go out cycling, feeling the breeze on your face, whether in the city or on rural roads.

-NATURE: I love being in contact with nature. I would love to work on a farm, rural community or also somewhere that hosts people.

-COMMUNICATION: I am a very communicative person, I find it easy to make new friends and get involved with large groups. However, lately, I am on a more introspective period, guided by meditative practices and by this search for my innerself, in which I value periods of silence and reflection.

-YOGA & MEDITATION: Two other things that have been very present in my life in recent years are yoga practices and meditations, which energetically balance me, make me reflect and learn about my spirituality and take me along a path of self-knowledge and evolution of my consciousness. Esoteric subjects attract me and have been very important to me in my new period.

-ARTS: Since I was a child, I have always been a person very connected to the arts, I did 13 years of drama classes (as a hobby) and even dreamed of being an actor. For a few years, I ended up somewhat moving away from that “me”, but now, on my sabbatical, I feel an artistic call and I know that new discoveries in this area await me on the way.
