Beschreibung

We are Tanja and Aaron, along with our two sons Joshua (13 years old) and Theo (11 ). Tanja is German and Aaron is Canadian. We are based in Berlin and are taking a family gap year from August 2019 until July 2020 (at least!).
We all speak English and German. For us, having a high quality of life means being able to spend time with our kids, eating healthy organic food, and enjoying the outdoors. We also love making music together. Joshua plays chords on piano, Theo jams along with a mean harmonica while I play guitar.We would love to share part of our gap year with other families and people who like children.
We are planning on homeschooling our children, learning Spanish, discovering different ways of life, and instilling a sense of gratitude in our boys. We are particularly interested in living a simple life, living in harmony with nature.

Tanja currently works as a midwife and Aaron is a high school mathematics teacher.
Aaron has also worked as an English teacher in Japan, and Tanja has taught German to children in Canada. Our skills are well suited to teaching and language exchanges, and Tanja would love to help with caring for babies.
The communication skills that we have acquired in our professions can also be applied to tourism or any other task that requires building relationships.

We take initiative and are all willing to help around the house, help with the kids, with animals, gardening, building and any other job that needs to be done. We are quick learners, and stick to our commitments once plan have been made.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Teaching English, German, mathematics. We can help with tourists since we work with people every day at our professions. Physical work is not a problem. We have been raising a family and love cooking and caring for kids, so we are happy to do any household-related jobs. We would love to improve our gardening skills. Finally, our jobs and kids have strengthened out conflict management skills :-)
