Hey! 🧡

Here Anaïs, 18, nomadic creator ☀️
Since summer 2023, I'm back from a 3 and a half years travel around the world with a Tiny House and my family (dad, mom and brother), and a year living in Reunion Island (small French Island in Indian Ocean). After all these great adventures, my family is back living in non-moving houses, but staying still is something that suits me only for a few days. As I would like to still experience meeting new people and living amazing moments, here I am on Workaway!

I already had a volunteer experience during our travel, at a kenyan Victoria Lake’s Island. Later, by myself, I also had a sweet adventure in Switzerland, for 2 weeks helping Eva with her cottage and farm, at the end of 2023's summer. At the beginning of year 2024, I volunteered in 2 South African farms (3 and 2 weeks), near Cape Town. In this new hitchihiking adventure, i've been volunteering in a degrowth project in France, and helping around in a slackline community (up to 50 persons) in Sardinia. And now I am looking for some new adventures like these... ☀️

To tell you a bit more about me... while a lot of people say i am like a little sun in their lives 🧡, i consider myself as a lover of foreign hearts and exotic minds, as a person who just wants to live in the sunshine and go barefoot and have messy hair and swim in the sea and drink the wild air, maybe also as an artist who just wants people to smile and be happy.

I love how people sparkle when they speak about things they love and how they fill with light whenever good little moments are happening.

French is my first language and I can teach you some words or help you become a bit more fluent! I learned English while traveling and speaking with strangers, so according to academic grammar, conjugation and lexicon, it might not be perfect, but it’s still a very understandable English! I learned Spanish in South America. I was 9 years old so I lost a bit of it but can still understand a lot! It might take a few days to be able to speak quite fluently again… I also began learning Esperanto! And I know some words of Afrikaans (South Africa), Turkish, Swahili (eastern Africa), and Luo (Kenya), and will be happy to learn more languages!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

From my experiences in previous workaways, alongside with helping the renovation of houses and personal project, I have basic skills in diys, painting, woodwork, farming, animal care... I'm very patient and persevering while learning new stuff. I'll also be happy to help you in any kind of artistic project, such as wall painting, logo making, signs, diy’s… 🧡 I'm a self-taught writer, photographer and videomaker (beginner but enjoying the process) so if ever you’re looking for some artistic content about you or your place, it would be a pleasure!

Was noch ...

Here they told me to write about “any other relevant info” and then reminded me about “perhaps which board games you play” and wowow you have to know that I am such a big fan of any type of board games. If you want to, i'll obviously play with you at / teach you about games such as Quarto, Qawalé and Dixit. I can’t wait for us to play board games together! Oh and I'm also a creator of handmade bracelets, you’ll obviously get some 🧡

Some more random infos…
- my pronouns are she/her.
- I am homeschooled and created my own school program.
- I know a lot of good music with French lyrics if ever you want to sing a language before learning it (it’s an incredible feeling).
- if it involves mountains, ocean, homecooked food, hot chocolates or campfires - I'm in.
- I'm always happy to discover new stuff, either food, languages, musics, skills…
- i enjoy sharing my experiences, so if ever you know a class / group of person who would like to speak with me about family traveling and teenager travelling, it would be a nice project to come up with! I even have a movie about the travel with my family.
- that’s a very random info, but life is made for strange adventures, dancing under the rain and any kind of happy moment.
