Hi there! I’m Jess, I am originally from the States (Texas), and my partner, Shaun, is from Wales.

I'm a musician and I play guitar, piano, and write my own songs. I love performing live and would be happy to sing a song for you! Shaun is a healer and facilitates TRE (Tension Release Exercises) to help release tension and trauma in the body.

We are both very interested in philosophy, psychology, and understanding the connection between the mind, body, and spirit.

Travel, to me, is about expanding my perspective, embracing growth, and contributing meaningfully. We are not afraid of hard work and are detailed oriented, thoughtful, flexible, and put our all into everything we do!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a creative project manager and I love to clean and organize with a passion! I genuinely have fun organizing and cleaning, and find a lot of satisfaction in tidying spaces. Shaun has experience with building design, general maintenance, workshop organization, and TRE. We both have experience with gardening, kitchen prep, and housekeeping.

I spent 3 months at Yasodhara Ashram in British Columbia, where I cared for chickens, cooked for the community, and offered my skills in hospitality/housekeeping, gardening, and marketing. Most recently, I spent 4 months WWOOFing at Mana in the Coromandel where I gained even more experience in the kitchen, housekeeping, and working with teams. I’ve also house-sat with a rabbit in the Rockies for six weeks, watched after a ragdoll cat for 10 weeks in Hamilton through Trusted Housesitters, and spent 5 weeks in Auckland nannying a 1-year-old.

Professionally, I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Digital Media with a minor in Psychology, and years of experience in project management, creative direction, communications, marketing, and operations.

Was noch ...

We are a big fan of scenic hikes and exploring new places. We're very keen to learn how to fish, surf, or really any new skill! I love playing guitar and piano as well so would be excited if there were some instruments around. Shaun has experience playing the drums and has been interested in music as well.
