Beschreibung

I am taking a few months off from my life in London as a landscape designer and tree planting volunteer coordinator to travel around New Zealand. I'm looking to help on farming, environmental and community projects as I explore the country. I am a lover of nature, animals and people!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a trained professional landscape/garden designer with a keen interest in permaculture (sustainable design). I am obsessed with plants and gardening. I have been working for a tree planting charity (non profit) in London for the last five years designing teaching gardens for schools and tree planting projects for urban areas. I use design software and spreadsheets but my favourite part of my job is working outdoors with children and volunteers; teaching them everything I know about trees and how to plant them.

Since June I have been planning and running weekly forest school sessions for a group of 6-8 year olds where we practice crafts and building skills. I also learned how to use a power drill this year to build raised beds.

At home I enjoy cooking for friends and am keen to learn more DIY skills. I have a strong work ethic, enjoy being helpful and am conscientious with everything I do. I love to learn new things all the time.

Was noch ...

I love all creative and outdoor pursuits. I play guitar and piano, sing and write silly songs. I love sharing music and singing with other people, dancing and making things.
I would like to get back into running and enjoy super long hikes (last year I walked 80 miles around London with a friend in only three days). I am a beginner at surfing and am really keen to get better at it. I'd also like to do more multiday hikes and build my wild camping skills.
