I am someone who finds meaning in learning from new cultures and contributing to the communities I visit. I grew up in Canada and played baseball from age five to twenty, which taught me teamwork, discipline, and how to support the people around me.

I study global supply chain and logistics through an international program. I completed an academic exchange in Denmark and just finished another in Shenzhen, China. These experiences showed me how much I enjoy integrating into local life and understanding how different cultures think and live. I will graduate from the University of British Columbia in May of 2026, and before that I will spend the next several months backpacking.

I am happiest when I am learning, active, and part of a team effort. I enjoy physical work and am willing to help with cooking, cleaning, gardening, manual tasks, or community projects. I bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine curiosity.

I joined Workaway because I want to support local communities and learn directly from the people who live there rather than pass through as a tourist. I value simple and real moments like sharing meals, talking with locals, and becoming part of the environment I am in.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am confident with cooking, cleaning, and all types of lifting or manual labour. I train consistently, so I enjoy physical work and can handle demanding tasks. I have not done farm work before, but I am very open to learning. I can also help with basic repair tasks when needed.

I am comfortable teaching English and have worked in hospitality for three years in a front of house role. This taught me how to communicate clearly, stay organized, and work well with guests. I also have strong experience working in teams from fifteen years of baseball. I have coached baseball and helped run team events, which taught me leadership, patience, and how to guide others. In university I regularly work on group projects and presentations.

Health and fitness are important parts of my life. I can teach basic fitness, stretching, and mobility, and I enjoy cooking simple and healthy meals. I have spent a lot of time studying nutrition and exercise, and I am always happy to share what I know.

I am confident with computers and can help with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, data organizing, problem solving, and general planning. These are skills I use often as part of my degree.

I am experienced with travel and can navigate new places easily. I have done many solo trips across China and Europe, so I am comfortable adapting to new environments and cultures.

I am calm under pressure and good with people. My sales internships taught me how to stay steady in stressful moments and communicate with all types of personalities. Overall, I learn quickly, adapt fast, and bring a positive attitude to any environment.

Was noch ...

I will begin full time work in September 2026, so this period of travel is a chance for me to learn and grow before starting my career. I am just getting into photography and hope to improve my skills while seeing new places. I also want to learn how different cultures cook and expand my knowledge in the kitchen. I enjoy fitness, nature, and meeting people who care about their community. I try to bring a positive and respectful energy wherever I go and stay open to anything hosts are willing to teach.
