Hi, my name is Goda and I heard about Workaway from my dear friend a while ago, and since that moment I promised myself that one day I will join this wonderful community. I am from Lithuania and for the last 8 years I have been living in the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy, pursuing my degrees in European Studies (BA) and International Relations (MA). During this time I met so many people and got to explore different cultures which helped me form an open-minded mentality. To me, Workaway is about expanding one’s horizons, sharing one’s traditions, stories, and experiences with the hosts and other volunteers in a way that connects us all in a communal environment, where together you can create a more sustainable and joyful life. Moreover, I have several years of experience working both in hospitality industry as well as public sector, and currently I am a freelance (copy)writer looking for new adventures and meeting new people. I am excited to be a part of a community based on simple yet essential traits such as trust, responsibility, creativity, and sustainability!

I am currently working as a freelance podcast host and a content creator for an international media outlet, where I talk to inspiring people and write articles on work, mental health and lifestyle.

I have a few years of experience in hospitality industry having worked in several restaurants (both in the kitchen and waitressing). I love to cook and learn more about gastronomy, agriculture and sustainability. I also have some experience in gardening and general farm maintenance.

I hold a Master’s degree in International Relations and I also worked in a public sector with policy-making in Lithuania.
