Beschreibung

I am from the Czech Republic and currently live in the city, where I work as an accountant. Joining Workaway is my way of stepping outside my comfort zone. Instead of a traditional holiday, I'd rather experience a place through the people who live there, learn about their culture, and contribute in a meaningful way.

I'm a very active person with many hobbies that keep me busy and inspired. Music has always been an important part of my life. I sing in a choir and play the violin and ukulele. I also dance in a traditional Czech folk group, which I love because it keeps our culture and traditions alive. When I'm not doing that, you'll probably find me walking, outside or doing some sports especially Pilates, volleyball or badminton. I also enjoy cooking and would be happy to prepare meals and help in the kitchen. I also volunteered as the head cook at a children's summer camp, where I cooked for around 45 people.

Even though I'm an active person, I believe there's beauty in slowing down, reading, reflecting, and simply sitting somewhere peaceful, listening to nature and watching the world around me.

Last year my husband and I finished building our own home, so I have experience with gardening, taking care of a house and also love interior design and creative work. Minimalism and sustainability are important to me. Even though I have my own home with things, I prefer keeping it simple, clean, and free of unnecessary things. I believe experiences, good conversations, and meaningful connections are far more valuable than possessions.

I’m not afraid of physical work. Whether it’s helping in the garden, around the house, or with daily tasks, I’m always happy to contribute. I’m looking forward to sharing experiences, learning from my hosts, and hopefully leaving with great memories.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Although I currently work as an accountant, my experience goes far beyond office work. Over the years, I’ve had a variety of part-time jobs. I worked as a waitress, as a cashier for several years, and in a bakery, where I helped with daily operations.

One of my favorite experiences has been at summer camps. I attended camps from a young age and later became a camp leader. For two years, I was also the head cook, preparing meals for around 40 people every day. I really enjoy cooking, organizing, and working as part of a team.

I grew up in a family house, so I’m used to everyday household and garden tasks. I’m comfortable with cleaning, keeping things organized, basic maintenance, and helping wherever needed. I have also built my own house, so I understand the importance of taking good care of a home and keeping it clean and well maintained.

I have a dog at home, so I’m comfortable around animals and enjoy spending time with them, especially dogs.

I hold a Category B driving licence and enjoy driving, so I’m happy to help with tasks that require transportation if needed.

Overall, I’m a fast learner who enjoys practical work. I’m not afraid of physical tasks, I work well independently as well as in a team, and I’m always willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges.

I’m an easy-going and positive person who enjoys spending time with others, whether it’s sharing a meal, playing board games, or going on a hike together. At the same time, I also appreciate quiet moments in nature to relax and recharge.
