A free spirit, (having now given everything up!), who loves travelling to countries with cultures and lifestyles different to Australia, living amongst and with the locals to experience the true culture, learn some of the language, try out local cuisine y beverages :-)
Prior to setting out on the latest adventure, from which I have recently returned after almost 3 years, I was working as a remedial massage therapist. Prior to that have been employed in various works such as a garden and building labourer, cleaner in commercial, holiday accommodation and domestic environs, a courtesy car/bus driver, and also in hospitality and retail industries, after starting off in a government office at age 16.
Really enjoy working with my hands and being outdoors, working hard and getting sweaty. The last lot of adventuring years have been mostly a mix of building help, small farms upkeep, (olive, carob, pomegranate), general gardening/house maintenance, animal care incl dogs, goats, cats, sheep, chickens and ducks, pigs and a camel! Am a BIG lover of animals! Travelled and participated in workaways through France, Spain, Israel, & Jordan, Romania, Montenegro & Croatia. Other types of workaway projects were at air B&B's/low key hostels/bedouin camp doing cleaning, helping prepare meals, changing and washing bed linen etc. I am happy working autonomously and/or in a team environment :-)
I love and need an active and healthy lifestyle and exploring and adventuring in nature are high on my list of doing. I managed to do a few solo cycle/ camping trips in between workaways, making my way around parts of Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia and also briefly into Slovenia.
Back in Australia now (since mid-Jan) and due to current pandemic am staying put for probably the next 12 months and am excited to see, and experience living in different parts of Australia :-)

Skills learned from works done previous, willing to learn and have a go at anything, and physically capable :)
I do usually like to spend a minimum of 4 weeks at workaways as I feel i get a much better experience and understanding of a place for this amount of time as opposed to a 1-2 weeks.
