Hi! I'm Red, from San Francisco, USA. After 15 years working as a music therapist in inpatient psychiatry, I decided to drop everything and travel around the world to see as many beautiful things as possible. Music is my biggest passion, and I travel with instruments (trombone and guitar). I also love nature and trekking, food and cooking, and learning about cultures and arts from around the world. Authenticity and creativity are beautiful!

I am most interested in a Workaway to experience life off the tourist track. To me, to truly learn and grow from travel, one has to be fully immersed. I love to share what I know, and to never stop learning new things!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm a music therapist my trade, having spent most of my career running treatment groups in psychiatric hospitals for both adults and youth. As such, I am excellent in communication skills and caretaking for a wide variety of personalities.

Food is also a huge passion, and I've worked many jobs in nearly every role in the restaurant industry; cook, bartender, server, dishes. I love sharing and learning cooking techniques and recipes.

I've been an organizer for community projects, co-living spaces, collective liberation advocacy, and outdoor adventures. I've explored many models for building community and am interested in how they can be implemented across cultures.

I am a skilled musician, and can teach instruments including voice, guitar, piano and brass.
