My spirit can only be free when I nourish a deep connection to nature, and the rhythm and vibration of earth. I have no place in this modern world, yet i find it challenging to break free of its grip. I am seeking inspiration, through both nature and people. Inspiration to help me toward realizing my goal of living off the grid and helping to heal the earth, starting with my little plot of land. Traveling is where I find inspiration, meet new people and gain new perspectives. If I'm not learning and growing, I do not feel direction or purpose in life. It's all too easy to get sucked into the complacency, and that's not cool, because-we need to care about our life and our planet!
I grew up in the city of Colorado Springs, but 13 years ago, I started living in the ski towns of the Colorado Rocky mountains, when I realized that I could never live in a city again. I live in a true paradise now, called Crested Butte, staying inspired by the mountains every day. I love snowboarding, mountain biking, camping, and hiking (and Music!!) . The downside of living here is that I'm not able to pursue my passion of farming as much as I'd like, but I do have some experience farming in high altitude, extreme cold desert. However, the majority of my farming experience came from my 2 years doing work trade on off-the-grid farms in Hawaii, where I learned about the culture, land, and people, regenerative/biodynamic farming, homesteading, animal care, and some light construction (I would love to learn more about building and carpentry/handy work). I also have done workaway in The Netherlands, last spring. Also I have many years of experience cooking, and I've had a colorful and adventurous past, so have many stories to trade as well.
I have always been a spiritual person, but I transformed my life this past summer, with the discovery of mindfulness/awareness. I am happy to share my journey and what I've learned, and would love to learn more from those who have been on a similar path.
I yearn to meet people who truly believe that we are one human family and are all the same. I hunger to meet those who still live in a free, traditional, and conscious way, and to collaborate wonderful ideas with them. Peru and the Andes mountains have called my spirit and I am beyond excited to experience what awaits for me. I gravitate toward the energy of the mountains and I know I will find the inspiration I am seeking. I hope to learn the way of life and the songs of the beloved indigenous people, and all Peruvians alike, while helping to improve their life and home.
