Beschreibung

We are Shahrzad and Richard - passionate travellers and avid learners. We share an interest in eco projects related to tourism and wellness. We would be keen to learn more about the construction with sustainable materials such as rammed earth, mud house or adobe. We are also interested in permacultures and farming in general.

We both have extensive travel experience, mainly around Asia. Richard has lived in Japan, Mongolia, and Colombia, where he had built and operated a glamping hotel from 2020-23. He has since travelled along the ancient Silk Road by motorcycle where he met Shahrzad who is working as a freelance architect with a specialisation into eco tourism.

Travelling, and maybe more so, living in other countries has profoundly shaped our lives, and we aim to give back to the community both as a respectful guest and an open host. We are curious, always learning, and believe the most meaningful experiences often come from simple, authentic moments.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Shahrzad: BA Architectural Engineering, MSc Landscape Architecture. I have worked for several years for an architecture firm and as a freelance architect. My focus is on sustainability in construction and the creation of harmony between house and nature. I am also a certified massagist and practice yoga and the tanbur (instrument). In my free time I enjoy painting.

Richard: BSc Int. Business Management (East Asia), MBA Int. Management of Resources and Environment. I've worked for several years in Mongolia and SE Asia as a consultant in the development sector with focus on Environmental and Social Good Governance. I then developed, built and operated a Glamping Hotel in Colombia for three years and have acquired many useful skills in the process.

We are happy to get our hands dirty. We both have experience in the hospitality sector.
