Our current status:
04.09. landed in New Zealand
1st project in new plymouth - 22 days -done
2nd project in wellington - arround 3 weeks - in progress..
looking for more projects since 25th of oct to 18.11., anywhere in north island,..
19.11. - flight to tahiti
Finally time to pack all our stuff into boxes and start our journey around the world for the 3rd time! We've already discovered Emirates, Oman and Sri Lanka and somehow have been teleported back to Sweden. After 6 months there, traveling, working and hiking we are back on the road - from Turkey to Mongolia, South Korea, Japan, Hongkong, China, Laos, Vietnam and Tasmania,..
Slovak couple, Pavel (45) and Daniela (39) together for more than 18 years (or is it 100 ? who knows:) and since beginning traveling as much as possible, walking, visiting remote places, and trying to meet and know local people and understand more about life in different countries. We are not party animals, prefer quiet evenings with deep talks about nothing. A book in hand is a must. We are also active sports (wo)man (yoga/ running/ bike/hike/swimming), and Pavel's main obsession is fishing (even he's hopeless, he doesn't give up).
Both of us are non smokers and in recent years we decreased our consumption of alcohol to minimum. But sure with proper people a glass of wine or a can of cold beer (or two) is no harm to us :)
By now we have done multiple workaways in Peru (2014), New Zealand (2015&2025), Malaysia (2016), Canada (2018), Mexico, Costa Rica (2019), Sweden (2023 + 2024), Ireland (2023), Sri Lanka (2024), Japan, Vietnam (2025), Tasmania (2025) We've found it as one of the best ways to travel, to learn new skills, meet people and help out in any way we can. Our interest include construction, recycling, permaculture, sustainable living, zero waste lifestyle, gardening, eco building. Chopping and stacking wood is our obsession. And we would like to get some practical knowledge about sustainability and permaculture while traveling.

Although we both have comfortable 9-5 office jobs, we decided to changed our lives and to travel the world doing some work exchange/paid jobs.
For example we spent one year in New Zealand and Canada with working holiday visa where we gained some experience in orchard work, hospitality, Pavel became part of the beekeeping team. Plus we did lot of manual jobs as working in restaurants, did volunteering in movie and theatre festivals, helping with park renovations, landscaping, painting the boat or a house, lot of work with firewood as well.
One of our biggest adventure was building our own house in countryside (digging foundations, general work, paintings, gardening,etc.) and also renovations works of our flat (everything you can imagine:).
Even we are not specialist in any area regarding to manual work we would be extremely keen to help with gardening, on farm and with maintenance, cooking/baking, house caring, cleaning, don´t have problem to have our hands dirty and looking forward to learn new things and do everything what would be necessary.
