As I travel, I try to focus on trying new things (like yum local food), meeting new friends from all over the world and challenging myself!

It’s nice to be taking life a bit slower now and enjoying the simple things.

I grew up in New Zealand’s countryside and have always enjoyed exploring and adventures.

I love sports and outdoor activities like climbing, hiking, yoga, running.

My favourite thing about travelling is getting involved in a new culture :) I like to learn a bit of each language and have a laugh at my pronunciation while doing so !!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I grew up on a farm with cows and horses in rural New Zealand, helping out my parents where I could. So a range of things: Feeding animals, stacking firewood or hay, mowing lawns, cleaning gutters etc.

After school I moved to Auckland and studied civil engineering. I got a job in the construction of an underground train station in the city and worked with the building companies, making sure they had everything they needed and understood the job. But I really learned a lot from them and I was happy to help where I could. My company offered a programme to teach science to school kids for a while, which I really enjoyed too.

I moved away from home to study when I was 18. I consider myself a good housemate keeping the place clean and tidy. I also like to cook and love a shared meal.

I did some summer jobs while I was studying. Selling retail in a bicycle shop and working in side a trailer factory, doing steelwork like welding and grinding.

I know some Māori words, our indigenous language. Maybe I can teach this along with English. Or if you have kids, I’d gladly help teach some math or science. And of course, anything outdoors or sporty.

As I said, I love learning new skills and trying new things and I’m really open to whatever work you might have!

Was noch ...

I like wholesome activities. Card games, listening to music, going for walks and spending time in nature. Or anything adventurous. I was given a Rubik’s cube in a hostel which I’m trying to solve at the moment. I like to read and write. Writing especially as I travel.
