Beschreibung

Having worked in London for the last 7 years, I'm now taking a career break to travel to some of the places in the world I've always wanted to visit! I'll be in Vietnam from 17th April and I'm looking forward to meeting new people along the way, experiencing different cultures and ways of life, getting some new perspectives, helping out and hopefully learning new skills and insights along the way

I enjoy talking and listening to people and working as part of a team, supporting others. I enjoy being in nature, have volunteered previous in roles within local community for habitat conservation / restoration projects and for mental health charity. I enjoy staying active through running doing outdoor activities whether that be hiking or bouldering and generally playing/watching sport. I'd say I'm quite a chilled person to live with, I like calm surroundings and being in nice spots where I can read my book or listen to music or hang out and chat

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Conservation volunteer - acquired hands-on experience habitat restoration and bio-diversity through hedge planting and management, working with other volunteers as a team. Learnt about the proper planting techniques and how to care for saplings to support healthy growth and long-term sustainability

Mental health volunteer - volunteered for a charity called SANE as a text care volunteer. People that were struggling with mental health would text us talking about how they were feeling and I would respond with messages offering messages of support based on what they had shared. Some of the skills it helped me develop included: active listening skills, writing and communication skills, made being able to respond with empathy and compassion, problem solving (writing messages for each unique case in such a way that I hoped the person would've felt heard) as well as adaptability (weekly shifts would typically be after a days work at my full time job or at weekends)

Marketing agency experience (7 years) - developed teamwork, time management, organisation, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience coaching and mentoring younger members of staff on road to their being promoted and helping with their personal development where i think i might be able to offer insight
