Hi! I'm Natasha :) I just graduated from university and now am on Workaway to help find what's next for me! I'm very spontaneous and free-spirited so I love adventuring and meeting new people. I love to explore new cities, hike, swim, relax, and go out. I'm originally from outside Boston and just spent the last 5 years living in Montreal. These places shaped my simultaneous love for busy cities and peaceful outdoors. Right now I have no solid plans; I am a very open person and am looking for opportunities here in Europe. I booked a one-way ticket and am so excited for whatever's next!

I am so very passionate about learning languages!! My father's side of the family is from Chile, so I've always wanted to learn and improve my Spanish. It's been a goal of mine from a very young age. I took Spanish in middle and high school but wasn't able to practice it much while in Montreal for university. While I completed AP Spanish in high school, it's been a while, and I really want to reconnect with the language. My goal is to become fluent. On the other hand, Montreal exposed me to French! I took French classes and completed Level 3 French. I also got to practice it in the restaurant I worked in as a barmaid. I hope to keep practicing and improving it. I am also a lover of languages in general, and hope to learn more while traveling! I can also teach English, as I am currently an English tutor.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience volunteering at a hostel where responsibilities include leading guests on daytime and nighttime activities (walking tours, games, bar crawls, etc.), overnight reception shifts (checking in/out and greeting guests), and cleaning (common areas, kitchen, dining room, bathrooms).

Last summer, I worked as a camp trip leader and nature educator. I led day trips and camping overnight trips for groups of 14-15 year olds. I led trips to various outdoor, hiking, and educational destinations several times a week, and led camping set-up and meal prep every week. I also facilitated nature and environmental educational activities. This job highlights my leadership and planning skills and my love for learning, adventures, the outdoors, and people. I have tons of experience working with children and am currently tutoring English to students.

I value work that makes a difference in the community. One summer I did an addiction research program at Boston Medical Center where I attended educational weekly panels about addiction and was a research assistant and co-author for a project.

I also have experience in the service industry, as I have been a server, hostess, and barista/bartender.

As far as other skills, I am tech-savvy, athletic, and creative! I love to move, create, and learn :)

Other hobbies include reading, journaling, yoga, skating, biking, swimming, backpacking, camping, hiking, aerial dancing, and cooking! I also love animals (I have a cat at home!).
