I am taking a year off to see as much of the world as I can before starting University. I would love to meet people and explore!

Beschreibung

Learning from other people and from world is one of my favorite things. I am curious about other cultures and ways of life and the rich history of the world.

I spent 11 months living in Colombia where I learned to speak Spanish and fell in love with solo traveling. I lived on a coffee farm up in the Andes Mountains. I have experience teaching English to non-native speakers as well as cultural outreach and activism work.

I grew up on an organic farm with a family restaurant on an small Island on the Pacific Coast and have work experience in food service and hospitality. I have been working since I was very young in restaurants, cafes, and on farms. I am not afraid of hard work or difficult living conditions.

Photography and the arts are also very close to my heart and I am looking forward to learning more, specifically about photography, and continuing to practice. I have experience with painting murals along with digital media and event promotion. I am new to social media work on a professional level but I am familiar with the technology, and I am confident I can be of help with promotion.

Traveling is one of my most enriching and mind opening things I have done and I can't wait to see what else the world has to teach me.

I love learning new languages and am more than happy to help others learn about the English and Spanish language. I am a C1 level in Spanish having taken advanced courses and lived a year in Colombia, however I am ever grateful for the opportunity to practice and understand more of the gramatica and complex tenses.
