Hello! I took a sabbatical from my career in corporate America in March 2019 to slow travel around the world, a mix of volunteering and exploring - and I never went back! I had an incredible journey in India, Turkey, Egypt, Spain, Nicaragua, Colombia, Dominican Republic, and the UK, and then I arrived in Portugal and I knew it was my new home. In May 2021 I bought a farm and am slowly turning it into a permaculture homestead with the help of volunteers. I am nearing my 1 year mark on the farm and am going to be taking the occasional break to help out at other projects, to learn from others who are doing something similar. I enjoy being a part of a community, meeting people, giving back and sharing good energy.

I have learned a lot on my farm the past year and am good at coming up with creative solutions, but I also have much more to learn! I am not afraid of hard work or getting a little dirty (that is my life lately:-).
I am a decent cook and enjoy making meals with whole and sustainable ingredients.
In addition to English I speak Portuguese (intermediate) and I understand Spanish reasonably well.
I love all animals and enjoy taking care of them.
