Beschreibung

Hi, my name is Jana. I am currently working at wine bar in my hometown and looking for some adventure for spring and summer. I would like to explore the world with workaway since I have passion for learning about different cultures, getting new work experience and language practice.

I have worked mostly in hospitality and for while as a babysitter and census taker. During my studies I did an internship at the museum of folk culture where are realised that office work is not for me and later I started to travel for jobs from babysitting in Italy, grape picking in France to helping out at festival entrance in Belgium. Beside that I have volunteered for various non-profit organisations and events in the Czech republic as well as abroad. I spent one year on European Voluntary Service at the retreat centre in England, cooking for the visitors, growing herbs and vegetables with the local community and facilitating events such as International week, Permaculture week, quiz nights and birthday parties.

When I don't travel, I help my family with managing the wine bar, a place often visited by elderly people. I am keen on music sessions that we hold together with customers, even thought I can just sing a bit.

In my free time I do roller-skating, social dances and yoga. I was assisting camp leaders at horse-back riding camp for children and teenagers. Beside that I got an introduction to hippotherapy and would like to learn more about that.

I tend to live environmentally friendly and try to be self-sufficient when possible. I found lot of inspiration for healthy lifestyle when I did two month internship at vegan restaurant in Belgium. Though I am fan of vegan cooking, I give more importance to eating local and organic products.

I find myself happy when I can travel, contribute to non-profit organisations and see the results of my work especially whilst spending time close to nature and being surrounded by people of different age groups.

I am easy-going person and also I like meeting new people when backpacking. I look forward to having good time together.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have some cooking and baking skills including few Eastern European dishes, I am happy to cook for groups of people and try new recipes. I learnt how to make coffee at barista school and want to develop this skill.
I like doing anything creative, especially decorating festival areas or interiors. I can do crafting with natural materials as well.
I am used to take care of animals since I often stay at my grandparents' farm and attended horse riding camps.
