Beschreibung

Hello workaway-hosts and workaway-travellers,
my name is Miriam, I am 22 years old and I come from Germany. Currently I am studying medicine at university.
What I love the most is spending time in nature; I love hiking in the mountains and taking long walks through whatever landscape I find myself at. Also, I am so much interested in plants: trees, flowers, herbs and everything the world has to offer– I would like to continue to learn about them.
In my free time, I draw a lot (especially plants) and I play the violin and the piano (I love making music together!). Hand-crafts like sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking but also wood-working and gardening are some of my beloved pastimes.
I have a positive mindset, I am smiley and I am open-minded. I want to explore my surroundings as well as other beautiful places in this world. I enjoy meeting new people, listening to their stories, learning about their culture, sharing skills, ideas and laughter. I love the unknow.
This is my motivation; this brings me happiness.

My mother tongues are German and Italian - although my German ist better because I frequented school mostly in Germany.I am fluent in Englisch and French and I would love to teach them as well (along with German and Italian).My Spanisch is rather fluent but i could not teach somebody in it but on the contrary - I would love to practice it!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

-Gardening: we used to have a rather big vegetable garden and many fruit trees that we took care of in my family

-being with children and babysitting: I am the second of four children; I have two younger brothers that I used to play with and take care of when they were younger

-hand-crafts: knitting, crocheting, sewing (by hand and with a machine), embroidery, wood-working

-I love cooking (vegetarian and vegan!)

-drawing, painting, illustrating (Iast year during the beginning of the Corona pandemic I illustrated a book which was a lot of fun to do!)

-playing the violin (12 years) and the piano (1 year)

-knowledge in chemistry, biology, mathmatics and physics (because I am studying medicine)

-my mother tongues are German and Italian but I am also fluent in Englisch, French and Spanisch - I would love to teach and learn more about these languages!

-I am hard-working and always willing to develop new skills!
