Beschreibung

I am Mila, 19 years old and I live in The Netherlands. After I graduated secondary school in 2024, I knew exactly what I wanted: a gapyear. I interrailed through Europe with 2 friends, had a few other small vacations, and now, a year later, I take another gapyear. This year I want to get rid of procrastination, and really make plans instead of only ideas in my head.

I am fortunate enough to be able to travel to new places, but also a bit overwhelmed by all the options, like i’m swimming in a sea of ideas, but kind of drowning. But one thing I’m sure about: I don’t want to feel rushed.

I am a person who loves being with other people, although sometimes I doubt my social skills, which sometimes makes me seem reserved, but I want to grow in that (one of the reasons why I want to travel solo). And at this point I had a little blackout in what to teel about myself, so I asked my family how they would describe me, so here a little petit small kleine list: Open-minded, optimistic, creative, patient, helpful, calm, enthusiastic. Okay thats enough. As i said before, I love being with other people, but I can get overstimulated sometimes. Thats not a big deal, it’s a reason why I don’t want to be in the busiest country of the world and go from hotspot to hotspot in a short time.

So I’m currently looking for places to go to in October-November-December (need to be back before Christmas and my sisters birthday!). I am willing to stay for a month or longer, but I have to say, this is my first time travelling alone, so I don’t know how I react on not seeing my family, friends and dog for a long time.
