Beschreibung

Hello! My name is Maggie, and I am from a suburb outside of the “Windy City” Chicago.

A big reason why I want to travel is because of my love for listening to and learning from others. I believe that it’s important to try to fill in my own blind spots by seeing the world through other people. I’m intrigued by all of the things I don’t know yet, and I am so excited to learn about other cultures by fully immersing myself into their unique way of life!

In my free time, I love to be outside, play with my three dogs, and read. I enjoy both film and digital photography as well. Recently I’ve picked up videography, and I really enjoy creating small videos that document my days and sharing them with friends, so I’m excited to expand upon this while traveling. I love painting and drawing as well. I collect a bunch of different plants and have grown strawberries in the past, so I’m eager to learn more about agriculture, permaculture, and the subsistent lifestyle. Meditation and spirituality play a big role in my day to day life as well, and I’m excited to expand upon these things while traveling.

I have a strong love for nature and all kinds of animals as I am very passionate about environmentalism and animal welfare. I am hoping to try a variety of animal related projects, such as; farm work, rehabilitation, shelters, and so forth. Growing up, my family owned a horse, and I was an equestrian for about seven years. I love horses, and would love to work with them again. wherever there are dogs I am sure to feel at home! There is so much I want to learn in regards to sustainability and agriculture through experience on a farm. I am not afraid of hard work, and I appreciate hands-on tasks. I am no pro, but I enjoy cooking and baking very much, and I love to share my favorite recipes.

I really enjoy working with kids as well! I’ve been babysitting for several years. I am a very dependable, timely, and committed worker, and I am sure to be of use no matter what I may be doing! I’m open to most types of work, and am very flexible. I'm eager and excited to learn new skills and try new things, I look forward to working with you :)
