Hello! I'm Jena. I'm 25 years old and have been traveling full time for about three years now! I have used Workaway before and have enjoyed the experience very much, so I've come back for another adventure :)
Currently I'm living in Manjimup, Australia completing my 88 days to earn a second year visa. At the end of August, I anticipated to have my visa granted and ready for a second year in Aus! Due to my time volunteering with a Girl Guides group in Perth, I have a WWC card.
My first long-term adventure outside of the US was in 2017 when I moved to Spain to au pair for a family near Barcelona. I was so happy to be their au pair that I came back again to au pair with them for a second time! I'm considered an addition to the family. We still Skype on big holidays and birthdays, and I've had the blessing to come back and visit them since. Due to COVID, they are unable to take on any new English speaking au pairs, so I've been contracted to give them individual English lessons once weekly. I feel so lucky to have such a beautiful relationship with this family and I would be thrilled to build a similar relationship with a new family here in Australia!
I am also an Egnlish teacher. I have been teaching online for nearly three years now. I have a solid base of regular students who I enjoy seeing each and every week! My experience with teaching and working with children goes back a long time, totaling more than seven years in all.
Although my expertise lies in working with children, I am motivated to travel by the endless opportunities that arise from it. I am a very happy, easy going person who is eager to learn! If you have a project, I would love to join you in it. You can share your expertise, and we can all share stories. I'd love to get to know you!

I'm a very easy-to-live-with house mate! In my free time, I enjoy jjournaling, doing yoga, and making art. I enjoy playing board games with groups of people, visiting new places around town, and getting to know knew people.
