Hello!
We are Matt and Sadie from Vancouver Island in Canada! As of this summer we have both graduated from university and are now eager to explore new opportunities, experience diffferent cultures, and meet people in different corners of the world.
We are motivated by people and communitites with values commited to upholding vulnerable populations and the environment.

Sadie has intermediate french skills and is very keen to expand her knowledge and become fluent in the language. Matt has a beginner understanding of french and is also interested in expanding his french language skills.We both have a beginner understanding of spanish and are equally eager to expanding this knowledge in order to comforatbly egage with locals. In addition, we are both eager to learn new languages of which we have no base understanding wherever such opportunities may arise.

With a diverse academic background in Sociology and Environmental Studies (Sadie) and Geography (Matt), we have earned a comprehensive understanding of social structures and environmental issues with an emphasis on the spatial dynamics of human-environment interactions.
Together, we aim to utilize our combined skills and expertise to support volunteer opportunities designed to address environmental sustainability, community development, and social equity. We are eager to collaborate with community members to not only foster meaningful and lasting change, but also to bring the knowlege, ideas, and skills we learn back to our own community.

In our free time, we are both avid readers in which we enjoy a wide range of genres. We are also enthusiastic novices in film photography wherein we are forced to savour a moment without instant gratification. We hope to learn how to develop our film ourselves one day! Additionally, we enjoy leisurley bike rides, often to the beach or our favourite coffee shops :)
