Hello my name is Matthew, my wife’s name is Victoria, and our two children are Ryu who is a year and a half and my daughter Lotus who is three and a half. We are from Palm Springs, California.

About 6 years ago I traveled using workaway / wwoofing, it was a life altering experience! I met and learned from so many people at each place that I was hosted at and now I want to share those experiences with my family!

Just little bit about us, I (Matthew) am a barber by trade, I love biking (over driving), I have a permaculture certificate, love growing food, train jiu jitsu, and more recently have had a huge interest in natural building and community building even though I’m slightly an introvert at times 🤫

Victoria is a bartender at a fancy restaurant, trains in jiu jitsu, loves drawing, is an amazing cook, and has huge interest in outdoor schooling, growing food, herbal medicine and raising a happy close family.

Lotus our daughter is the biggest cutie pie, has been in gymnastics since she was a 1yr 1/2, and is a daddy’s girl.

Our son Ryu is just handsome and melts people’s hearts.


We are hard workers, love nature, loving learning, clean, and would love to meet some new friends and create good memories. Ty and hope to see you soon ty :)







•My first workaway description before I had my family:

Hello, my name is Matthew and I'm very interested and eager to learn off the grid living, sustainable farming, natural building, building community, in a nutshell self resilience. Short story: I went backpacking through Southeast Asia a year ago where I was blown away by how big industries are hurting the environment by wiping out a lot of farm land leaving people to be dependent on the jobs and products big corporations create, which isn't that great for the health of the planet and people. Now, I'm on a journey to break away (as much as I can) from supporting those types of industries and to learn more of a simpler, regenerative, resilient lifestyle, that's better for our Mother Earth and I would love to help voluteer at your farm.
